Working for XP. The website sucks Thank you for your help Blake... you're champ mate.Excelente instalei sem problemas I downloaded this driver to upgrade from the default driver windows XP assigned. This driver doesn't have an install setup or .exe file within it so there was no way for me to install it. I uninstalled default driver then did a search for new driver and windows reassigned the defualt driver again instead of the one from the manufactor that I downloaded and did a search for when windows ask me to find a location. cmagview.Anybody got any advice.

John the driver worked great with my Presario 1247. I had tried everything available on the Compaq website and NOTHING worked. They even wanted to start charging me for phone help and wouldn't tell me what was in the machine so I could look for the driver on the manufacturer's website At any rate thank you very much John.

The update does not allow operation on my XP machine. XP regognises scanner without this driver and update but does not use all scanners ability. The new version via Sony Electronics you have to buy as download not available this works.

i downloaded this file from Sony Electronics a few days ago only to find that the main setup file will not launch nor will the setup file located in the utility folder ikernel.exe is damaged i believe. hoped to get a different download of this driver here but instead get external link to Sony Electronics and the same damaged file. someone tell Sony Electronics please

Usually good drivers but once in a while possibly because of incompSony Electronicsbble windows default drivers they fail to install.
