Hey this really works Tanks Whole lot dude I Was Getting Compaq Presario 7478 Back up running for wife. Restore disks didn't phase it. Upgrading to XP had severe HCL problems. Upgrading to Win 2000 worked just fine except for the Video Driver. Compaq was no help onlineanyway YOurs worked like a charm. Too big for Floppy though MB 13.1 MB when unpacked. Recommend to open in browserextract to New Folder of your choice. Then use shared network drive to upload file or burn ya self a CD. Good to do for later anyway.Card in 7478 presario model is VIA Tech VT8501 Gaphics Contoller 5.12.01.3102By VIA TechnologiesIncChip type Trident Blade 3DMVP4Dac type Integated RAMDACMemoy 8 MBAdapter Sting Trident Video Accelerator.

Thanks It's a great driver I was on the verge of buying a new sound cardThe first time I downloaded it I got some of the installation files are corrupt download a fresh copy. I downloaded it again and this time it downloaded properly. The total download when downloading properly is about 5.4MB. Thanks again

After raiding PCChip's site Cmedia's as well all top no avail finally came to my ol' dependable site This one worked great after other driver tries had said Windows Sound System could not be found. Even readjusted for IRQDMA conflicts on install CAUTION NT4 installers Make SURE your bios is set for OS PNP AwareNO or even this one may not take.

This driver WORKS ALLELUJAH Angels sing. The installation for this type of modem is complex. First run the INFUNINST.EXE and delete the device from the device manager but DO NOT REBOOT Now go to the control panel Add New Hardware. Tell Windows that you wish to specify the device and select the driver location. Install the Conexant PCI modem enumerator. It will give an error message about this being a PnPray device. That is good. After it finishes installing the support for this device reboot. When win9x comes up it will ask for a driver for pci communication device. specify a location. select HSF Modem enumerator and select the Lg Electronics pci modem enumerator. then it will install the enumerator the modem and the serial wave device...TADAAA Lupus
