This is the driver that so many who have purchased to use the economical prism2.5 MN520 under Linux once they decide to give wpasupplicant a shot in WinXP out of necessity or for kicks. I did end up needing wpasupplicant within XP and prior to this driver NO combination of versioning and coersion would get wpasupplicant in WPAEAPTLS mode working on my XP Professional laptop install. Not with pem certs nor p12 cert either despite what you've heard. Microsoft's site does not have this driver available anymore. I followed a prior individuals recommendation after viewing the MN520.inf file and verifying it is XPspecific it is and that is to create a separate directory with DEVICENAME.cat and DEVICENAME.inf in the root dir and a subdir named Drivers beneath containing the DEVICENAME.sys file. I also copied MSWIOC.vxd into the subdir and gdiplus.dll iphlpapi.98 msbnres.dll and unicows.dll into the root dir as they were not named as to suggest a devicespecific implementation. It only references MN52051.sys in the installed driver so I'm not sure if they were referenced or used or not not windows accomplished. wpasupplicant now works like a champ once SP2 is installed. SP1 plus the 2 WPAcentric hotfixes was not enough to get NDIS recognizing all of the OID's it needed to. However with SP2 everything is now working great. After installing this driver the advanced configuration items available in device manager for the device jumped from 4 basic settings to around 17 settings of much more granular control levels. It's nothing close to hostapdriver 0.3.90.4.4 but it's MUCH BETTER than the scant 4 settings. Sorry so longwinded but WPATLS TTLS PEAP etc. people may be glad to know this driver works outstanding in the XP environment. Just make sure that your NDIS is new enough you'll know it's not if you receive various quotunable to getset oid 0xdNNNNN messagesquot. Thanks to the person that uploaded thisBest RegardsJayson

have an Seagate mv720 monitor hooked up 2 an etower 366is the generic drvr works but monitor goes blank occasionally then comes back on 110 min. am hoping this drvr will solve that if anyone here has heard of simalar problems please post. thanxs

Please excuse my ignorance but I downloaded the driver files to show a friend with XP what he needs to do. I can't seem to figure out which file you execute ... as in setup on WIN98 for example. Am I missing something ... or is XP different in how you RUN a software driver install
