Tried but scanner dead as a dodo.I bought scanner SH not realising installation disc was needed.I have checked power into PC Board OK. but nothing working. Can anyone help

yep the drivers work fine as for the problem of the new hardware found box popping up every time you reboot i solved it by going to windows update and dl windows xp service pack1 problem solved hope this helps
