Installed the HP soundblasterpci driver for windows XP and the computer still cannot find the scanner. I have a USB connection and when troubleshooting saw that the device manager place a on the scanner. Used the software installation troubleshooting guide and still nothing. Called HP and was placed on hold for 23 minutes before i hung up. Overall this is junk. I spent 300.00 when they first came out and then upgraded to a new computer and wham nothing works right. I say go bacy to WINDOWS 3.1 and get everything to work right the first time.

This driver works perfectly I used it on a Pavilion 4540 under Windows 98 SE. I did not have my original CD so I had a problem until i came across this driver. Thanks.

The driver is HLDTST RWDVD GCC4481B for my CDDVD drive. I've done everything I know of to install the driver but can't find a way. The files downloaded are and executable DellE108 file and a .HEX file. When I run the executable file it opens a window with quotTarget Drivequot and the HLDT.... number listed a Source File with . listed and a BROWSE button a Status window and a Upgrade button. When I press the Upgrade button I get a Status message quotUpdate file name is not correctquot. I've also tried installing the driver using the Device Manager but it will not let me select either of the files downloaded. So far I haven't found any info on various websites including yours that helps. If you can help I would certainly appreciate it.Morris
