If you don't know how to open .arj files then download this www.powerarchiver.comdownloadpowarc60.exeit handles .zip and .arj and a few other file formats.

I accidently stumbled upon a fix. Install Roxio Easy cd creator 5 Basic. Then download the windows xp driver update from the Roxio Web site. Run the installation. Presto A driver that will work for the crd 8400B
