This driver caused my PC to hang and i have to force reboot. Somehow my drive will work on Windows XP.I noticed while my drive was intialising the display showed 2.0000693 instead of just 2.0. Maybe this is the cause of my problem.I would appreciate help from anyone out there who have overcome this setbackThank you

Ok My Comps is BIOS Date 101499BIOS Type Award Modular BIOS v4.51PGBIOS ID 10141999693596W9772A6LGH2AC00Chipset VIA 82C691 rev 68Superio Winbond 977EF rev 4 found at port 3F0hand i know how to flash my bios and everything anyways when i'm the part after it tells you if u want to save ur current bios i say yes and saves and everything but after that it comes up wiht and error saying this dose not match ur part number WHAT DO I DO I REALLY NEED TO UPGRADE SOEMONE PLZ HELP ME

When I downloaded I discovered it was only a uninstall file. Nothing to install. Only an UNINSTALL file. I guess I will never upgrade to XP.

The download was great. I didnt get XP on my new computer because it stinks for all my driver uses. But it works well with 200o and ME. Thanks so much for having it here. I will use this wonderful driver download page for all my needs. Thanks so much
