bought a USRobotics 56k ext voicefax modem with no driver. When installed on a Windows 95 machine windows wanted to install a standard modem driver. I let this happen but modem would not work.Updated to driver from this file My computerpropertiesdevice managermodemsupdate driverselecting from list etc and this proves that everything is working perfectly. The voice element is not working correctly but I will search for a better driver. thanks a million.

The only thing that acted funny is when I first installed it I was able to change my keyboard buttons. Seems not work on Compaq Presario 3907HK model. The builtin sound card of that computer is identified as Intel 82801DB ICH4 sometimes and Realtek AC'97 sometimes. When installing using quotAdd hardwarequot dialog it will ask for Realtek AC97 drivers in the middle of installation. However picking the driver files of Realtek AC97 package may cause blue screen at nearly the end of installation. It seems that no driver is suitable for this type of computer's sound card.

Windows 98 really sucks because the CDD9610 wont install. well its sucked anyway but anyhow how do you go about installing the thing without the INF file. I downloaded that file but there is no INF file. so i read the readme and it does nothing to help me. i feel actual PEOPLE can do this. Please help my email is gratefuldead866hotmail.com

Missing file hpqgends.tmp and no .exe file to help installation. In my system device manager was happy but the scanner was not connected. Unable to use.

Tried this in my Compaq 5000 with the GVC modem. Did not work. No help from Compaq or GVC. Will not get burned by either company again. Compaq support seems very poor.
