I was able to rip CDs using this driver. Any software that needs an ASPI driver can make use of this. Thanks a lot jeffI had to run the dos based setup program which lets you change the 650ep card to jumperless mode.There were some other options like set irq set to plug n play which might help others.Problem is I'm not sure if it is this driver or another one that had this dos setup program. Not all the driver versions for 650ep do.

Didn't even have to uninstall old drivers. Only neeeded to change after updating Windows to SP2. Old drivers worked ok with SP1
