The driver may be fine for other systems but did not work in my Emachines Etower Model 667ir running Windows 98SE with integrated sound chipset on the motherboard. My guess is it's the wrong codec.

Horray I picked up this lil 7478 Emachine for my mum this evening. When win2k didn't have any cabfile drivers i was gutted. Fortunately i found this site through google pretty much straight away. Thanks Driverguide.com and thanks to all the people who've replied above. It made the google search easier since there was more documentation here. Hehehehe.
