I installed this driver on my Win95 rev A machine and it worked great Then I upgraded to Win 98 I didnt change the driver and I started getting glitches in the video. I then changed to the Trident 9440 driver that comes with Windows 98 and tested with no problems. So if you have 98 this driver will not work at optimal performance use the built in 98 driver instead. But worked great for 95. Thanks

I downloaded this file but the Printer.txt included with it states that it is a Windows 3.1 Driver.Too bad.

Hey this really works Tanks Whole lot dude I Was Getting Compaq Presario 7478 Back up running for wife. Restore disks didn't phase it. Upgrading to XP had severe HCL problems. Upgrading to Win 2000 worked just fine except for the Video Driver. Compaq was no help onlineanyway YOurs worked like a charm. Too big for Floppy though MB 13.1 MB when unpacked. Recommend to open in browserextract to New Folder of your choice. Then use shared network drive to upload file or burn ya self a CD. Good to do for later anyway.Card in 7478 presario model is VIA Tech VT8501 Gaphics Contoller 5.12.01.3102By VIA TechnologiesIncChip type Trident Blade 3DMVP4Dac type Integated RAMDACMemoy 8 MBAdapter Sting Trident Video Accelerator.

It was weird...My computer identified that it was a Video adapter but was unable to do anything further with it. Even after specifying that it was a Radeon 9200 I was still unable to fully install it. I kept getting a message to the effect of quotDevice not found please connect the device or install it using a generic driver.quot What am I supposed to do with thatNot a problem with this driver downloaded the one off of AMD's website first.
