I hope this driver works I found an older one on Compaq's web site but I keep on getting an OSD error. I have been trying to fix this problem and I hope this works.

it's PERFECT I've been looking for any graphic driver for Via Technologies for half an year. found lots of them nothing worked thou and finally this is exactly what I needed instead of huge icons and 16 colored palletete soft graphics smooth colors. THANXXX

Only part of it works on Compaq Presario 7360 Win98se By using this driver and p4x400.exe I was succesful in loading sound drivers for my device. Thanks

The driver for the 1401S monitor might be model PB8528SVG i specifically read that this monitor supports 1024x768 resolution in interlaced mode and the PB8528SVG driver doesn't support that mode. Packard Bell obviously doesn't care about its older customers. Older customers tend to buy new products from companies that they trust. I will never purchase or suggest another Packard Bell product for the rest of my life. Packard Bell do the whole world a favor and go out of buisness.

For challenged people like me here is a helpful hint on maybe dealing better with the Yamaha sound card PCI. Initially this sound card driver did not work. I finally discovered I had to physically remove the Yamaha sound card PCI and the Conexant HCF PCI Modem card PCI. Next go under the control panel click on System click on the device manager and remove both the modem and sound card from the system and finally reboot. Shut down and install the sound card. Reboot add the software and the sound card worked. Shut down and install the modem reboot and add the software. It all worked in that order. Trying any other way... nothing worked.

works fine on XP too All is working audio modem Best of all on a HP Pavilion 6620HP support says it won't work but I don't trust them hahha.Just a detail have been necessary to install twice Weird Thanks to Bill
