looking for w2000 driver

I tried downloading this driverRockwell Rp4sglvm12 and a Wordpad.exe file of 179KB should have been downloaded. When I tried to open the downloaded Wordpad file there seemed to be no content. Have I made an error somewhere Comments welcome Thanks.

This appears to be the last 'authentic' version released by Microtek. It worked just fine for the short time I used it. Since there is a version 255 on this site I am using it instead.

had a big problem when i messed up my gforce4mx440 driver i tried to up date it with windows whic i did but after restart i could not play any games such as sof2 but got it all back with this site well done thanks this is the 2nd time i have had your help cheers

For all you guys that cannot get this or any other hardwaresoftware to work in XP try using compatability mode to run your drivers and software. Choose the OS for which the drivers etc. were made for and XP will usually run it OK. The term usually used very loosely....lol PS for all you people out there looking for ANY kind of hardware drivers when requesting them you need to include the numbers on the main chips..ieConexant RH56DPCI R679512 AND any brandmodel markingsstickers on boards. Most modems will have good functionality if you at least use the chipset makers refrence drivers. Match the chip 's on the manuf. website..ieConexant.com or a google search. One more thing...about all pci modems they HAVE TO BE DETECTED BY WINDOWS TO WORK PROPERLY. Do not use the setup.exe to install in windows those are generally for DOS functions. You have to install card boot windows and point it in the direction of you drivers..like floppy cdrom or file path. And Yes they are supposed to detect as either PCI Communication Device or a number of other device descriptions just make sure windows finds the drivers and you may have to check the display list of all driversetc instead of letting windows search and choose ok at the warning that the drivers were not made for your hardware. If the drivers are COMPLETELY WRONG for your hardware the hardware list window will usually be blank. If you have a really tough driver problem feel free to email me but be patient as I get a lot of emails for help so it might take a little time but I will try to reply to let you know I have recieved you mail. JUST PLEASE put something like driver help or similar in the subject line so I don't think it's spam or those fantastic opportunities from those high gov. officials in Nigeria...lol

I'm downloading this file again because it didn't work right the 1st time.I have the Xcel 2000 chipset on my system I'm not too pleased with it.I'm running a 333Meghtz Celeron which is adequate for my needs. However I have no soundIt took me forever to find the right drivers for this board.Now that I have them they will not install.I use Installshield cause it's built in to Windows 98 that I use.The meter goes to 95 then stops.I get 2 error messages but I can't recall them right now. The sound system is onboard the sound card is installed right.It also took me forever to get drivers for my Graphic Display.Then I had to reinstall my monitor. I use Winamp alot for my MP3's and I have to have these drivers to run it.So I've told my son about this who knows everything about computers but he hasn't gotten around to upgrading and fixing my system.I get alot of used hardware and we build our own PC's and network them all together. What I need to know is does anyone have this problem and if so how do you fix itOn a positive noteI'm assuming the drivers will work OK when they do get installed. Next time I may switch to something else.If and when I get this rightI'll be content cause I need my music.Any help Thanks.
