This driver installed flawlessly in XP. I didn't need to reboot for it to start working.

I obtained a Yamaha OPL 3 card. Loaded to Win98. Went to Nvidia site for driver. They offer the detonator. This is a self extracting EXE. It installed but when PC rebooted Windows found a problem and decided to revert to previous settings. This driver I installed manually and all works fine

The driver gave me an error during installation. After then the modem appeared in my Device Manager but it isn't able to open a serial port to work with.

The modem is working correctly. Being as it is a PcTel modem that is a miracle. These are nasty modems but the owner won't upgrade. Compaq used to install better modems but I guess the cost cutting got into the modems too. Anyway it installed correctly the modem will sustain uploads and downloads at 40 kb and that is acceptable.Thanks for the help and support.
