I have had the same problem with my new IBM versatile scroll mouse it has a bad or corrupted file.I downloaded both of your files from charydent.com and I still got the same message during the install.after downloading it would start the install then where it builds a driver information data base it just quits and the meter stays at zero and never goes up...then I get the same message that an illegal funtion has occured and the program will be shut downCan't anyone HELPplease email me back

We finally got one that works A note of caution only use lower resolutions 16 bit tops on older 13'' monitors. The true color 32 bit makes my old 13'' Elonex do somersaults However this setting works fine on my 15'' Compac if you don't mind the eyestrain.

This driver worked perfectly. If you have correctly identified the sound chip type and model and you follow the directions in the Read Me file it worked. I had a motherboard that had an embedded sound chip. The numbers on the chip matched this driver. I downloaded the file and unzipped it . I read the Read Me file and followed the directions. Great
