This is a DOS driver. Default CDROM Drive to G .Get rid of the Microsoft driver in autoexec.bat and config.sys or you will be in trouble.Works fine for me with W98SEFR IBM Aptiva 219330F.

BeverlyHere's how to make this driver work for Windows 9598...1. Double click on the 'Win31dmp.exe' file when it asks you where to extract the files type in 'a '. Insert a floppy disk.2. Once the files have been extracted to a floppy disk open the contents of the floppy. On it you'll find a folder called 'Disk1'.3. CUT AND PASTE the 17 files from inside the 'Disk1' folder to the floppy disk. outside the 'Disk1' folder.4. That should do it. When your computer asks for a driver disk or the Windows disk just type in 'a ' for the driver source and you should be good to go. I tried all of this and it works fine.... many belssings

I had to reinstall Windows on my notebook and I needed all the drivers. I use this driver and it works great with my notebook 1245. After the installation I could set up the display to a very good resolution as before
