Running a Windows 98SE machine had a SB CT4760 Sound Card PCI and these drivers upon installation locked the machine up and continued to do so after reboots. I had to go to device manager disable the 2 components and remove the INF's from C windowsinfother so that I could finally boot into Windows in normal mode.I really wish Creative would smarten up like Nvidia and post one package for all their cards. Or atleast an autodetectionautoupdate program. That would be nice.Cobalt2020

Used it on FS Amilo P4 D7820 works gr8. Don't be alarmed it uses French language on install.

though the driver said it is meant for Windows XP while downloading during installation it gives error indicating this driver is not meant for the OS.

XP supports most devices but not all. duh If you need a driver for something and don't know what it is then look for the chip on the motherboard or the card if it is one. If you know PC's even a little you may recognize the name. In some cases the chip can be really small may say something like AD8393. The AD may be telling you that its possibly a sound chip from Analog Devices. The submitter asked for the driver to be sent in the 'comments' area. Don't blame the original guy for your ignorance but instead find the right driver for the right device. Normally you can look at the chips on the motherboard to find what the chips are.

when Motorola's own drivers failed to install correctly from an archived cdrom i tried charydent's listing which worked fine even when installed from an archived cdrom. drivers ghost to recovery disk and back to hdd ok aswell.
