To resolve the Win2000 problem driver installed but no removable device appearing in Explorer remove the Sony DSC from the Device Manager and then reboot. Windows locates the device and drivers properly during bootup.

Not bad. Worked fine with windows 98SE. only drawback is that it states an illegal operation when you first try to install it. My suggestion is to just ignore the illegal operation and just proceed with the install. Don't knock a driver until you cannot use it. Ignore the illegal operation and just click close on the dialog box.
