I will attempt to install this driveron a HP Pavilion XE736 that has a Intel 810 motherboard Cognacwith Pentium Celeron 600MhzI also downloaded the driver fromthe website of HP the PC model isHP Brio 410. I will see which driverwill work keeping in mind the full duplex issue.

Device manager says the driver for this CD Rom cannot be loaded.I've tried this zip file...it contains only a cdrom.sys. I've tried to overwrite the cdrom.sys on c system32drivers but the old version of the file mysteriously reappears each time I do this.I've tried uninstalling the device driver and reinstalling. Each time it reloads the original driver and indicates the driver cannot be loaded.The CD ROM drive worked originally. Today after reading a CD it disappeared from my list of drives in Win XP.I need the CD. What could the problem be

This is the same as the latest driver on the ATI support site.I couldn't even get it to load I wonder if this is a WinXP SP2 issue.

This driver didn't work on my mainboard a Gigabyte 6WWM7 with Intel 810 Chipset.At every boot Windows 98 SE quotkept sayingquot that the divice wasn't installed properly and it should be reinstalled. When I did reinstall the problem remained the same.

you are right even in australia it is not possible to download this driver from Compaq and they offer no help shame shame shame just hope it works
