OK Guys here is the problem. Agere made chipsets for the V90 and V92 Bis modems.This driver does NOT work on a V90Bis modem. It DOES work on the V92 Bis. Now for those guys winging or have the V90 modem use the LUCENT drivers they work fine in Win98 Win98SE I cant say about the other operating systems

The problem I had could verywell be with my computer as I just fixed and up graded one someone gave me. I could not get the .exe to exract but then this isn't the first that wouldn't extract but only wants to unzip. anyway good luck to the rest of you.
