It doesn't matter where you put the file. You goto your hardware wizard and update your driver for your cdrom. It will ask you if you choose the right option where to look for the driver. Then you put the path to wherever it is. It copys it to the system directory where it needs to go and installs it with your cdrom.

many thanks. W98 drivers are really getting hard to find. Most manufacters have stopped making them available on thier websites. Thankfully this site exists

I brought this modem SPEEDCOM with PN P5614RC but i can't use it in Windows 98. The drivers include on the package is for Windows2000. If u have any drivers for this model for Win98 i'm deeply appreciate it.

Looked like it was gonna work but after shutting down the computer and starting it the next day had to boot into Safe Mode. Unstable.
