I have downloaded this driver before from the Creatix site however when installing under win2000 some files seem to be missing. Replacing with w98 files did not work out. I have a computer by Medion.Not for WinXP so did not use it

Why dont you learn some manners and quit your swearing this is a GA post. And learn how to install a driver before you post something like that this one works fine.

It doesn't matter where you put the file. You goto your hardware wizard and update your driver for your cdrom. It will ask you if you choose the right option where to look for the driver. Then you put the path to wherever it is. It copys it to the system directory where it needs to go and installs it with your cdrom.

Driver for this sound card worked great and loaded automatically with Windows XP. However I am running an X Pert TVPVR PCI card on the same system and when the drivers for the sound card was loaded the video capture card stopped working. So unfortunately I've had to use another sound card.

This driver is rock solid and performs nicely with windows 98 SE . Take your time and be careful and the install goes smooth as silk .

Mozart has never sounded so sweet 6 days of no sound no dvd and a swelling hatred for ESS and Compaq. you would think that the ESS site might have a driver that works but no that would be expecting too much. Dear Robert thank you. Once more my Presario 7598 sings with Win2000. I did have some trouble downloading it from this site but in the end a friend downloaded it and emailed it to me. Works a treat. Looking forward to another battle with Windows 2002. Dont give up keep trying.
