i got it to work but only after replacing files from another download es1317.zip with the approrate ones that came with this one in particially the setup.exe. in the end i got 23files total of 938kb.this ended up installing es1869 control interface es1869 plug play audiodrive and gameport joystickusing vjoyd.vxd. i've shutdown restarted a couple of times and also installed a second standard ideesdi hard disk controller. it no longer prompts me to install the hd controller. i also found that it wouldn't install through the instal new hardware in control panel only through the setup.exe. i'll post the files that i used as sound1869f.zip when i figure out how

it works just follow the prompts given by FLASHTOOL which also downloads.my cdrw was made by IONICS as was the Philips with the same model number cdd 4801 the IONICS site doesnt have any drivers but they mention a few of the brands they make cds cdrws for.so if you cant find the driver you need under your makers name then try one of the other makes with the same model number which may be identical with another makers name stuck on it good luck.
