Not sure if it was your driver that does work but I have been trying to get the modem in my HP Pavilion to work. Went on HP's Dell and other sites for hours. I have an Agere chipset 1648CTV3 and almost gave up with no results until I started from beginning by removing the driver from Device Manager in Windows 2000.Then I ran this download and after my reboot I installed the Zoom V.92 driver and it WORKSSome people should mellow down. Maybe they are upset because they spent too long time with no OEM support. Patience is a virtue. Just by cussing on the Web makes no sense especially if someone is trying to help others.Good Job Justin

After hours and hours and hours and hours of searching for this driver and I didn't want to pay for 30 from some other site this is the only place I found the driver. No more question mark from my device manager.

When loading it asks for disk 2 and their is no disk 2therefore as much use as a chocolate fireguardDont know how this works could not download it. said page could not be found.
