Thanks Tried at Lucent which took me to Agere Systems for the driver which had nothing to do with this nifty generic winmodem. Compaq others also use the same chip but their drivers did not work either. Hey I rebuild units for a living and this driver was a pain. The one provided on the floppy and CD do not even work with Win98. They are the 5.6x and below versions. This is the 5.92 version. Generic chipsets drive me nukkin futs Thanks again. The card I had must of been faulty or the driver XP had did'nt work.. Or the downloaded one Or .. It still doesnt work ..Still it is XP a glorified DOS Game

No problems driver worked as expected.

Its OK but dated 2001. The one coming with WinXP is newer 2004
