Driver works well with win98. Drivers were not recognized during windows startup did not seem to match the hardware but install worked from the control panel add hardware and the modem is functional. Thank you

did not workThe driver worked well. The sound device sometimes becomes uninstalled. This may be due to the age of the motherboard that it resides on. It's an older socket A and I'm not even sure of the brand. It doesn't bare any distinguishing markings or brand names. The only way I knew which driver to download was making the observation of what chips were on the board itself. I guess that's what I get for accepting freebies...
