Tried to use this driver on a Microstar model MS6334 motherboard with an Intel FW 82801AA sound chip for on board sound.Did not work and repeatedly comes up with the blue screen of death reboot and blue screen appeared.Managed to boot into safe mode to remove the driversoundcard and now trying another driver A214292.exe which may be better.But AC97.zip was not for me

win98 found an unknown device.cannot play midi files.sometime win98 os drivers files not found.

I used it on winXP SP2 and it worked great. to configure the driver we need to update the driver from Modem properties and choose it manually. Thanks. U saved me from spending for a new voice modem.
