I had no sound on my satellite 1605cds and this driver didn't help. I thenloaded s171snd2 and it works great

Windows 98SE will happily munch on this little morsel without complaining too much. But if you try to play any sounds with it you hear nohing but silence or the occastional crackle. We did get some sound for a fleeting time on and off but most apps gave us the quotis another app trying t ouse the audio devicequot error message. Have tried several drivers on this website and they all appear to be the same or very similar With similar results. May have to buy a more up to date card as this chipset must be quite old by now card has ISA interface Wastried with Yamaha OPL YMF718S 9644 WBLJ CHIP no card manufacturer visible on card Windows 98SE

This driver is for an old HP LaserJet 3100 fax machine and not the 3100 posted on the HP.com web site. I guess HP does not support this device but I found the drivers on charydent and it has worked excellent Thanks
