Thanks John the driver loaded in to my Compaq Presario 1200 XL104 like a charm. I just hit setup and it did all the work rebooted and it was in there. Great site.

Dowloaded this file as well as drvmcdb.sys to make up driver file to get STT0000A working with later version of Backup Exec. This drive was designed to work with Symantec Backup Exec 8.x and wanted to get it working with v10.x. Have since discovered that problem was because WinXP already has driver for this drive that doesn't work properly confirmed in a MS bulletin can't remember which one however if you select to use the built in driver for Backup Exec 10 no exceptions this drive will work fine.
