By the time I have found this site I have been able to use the recovery disk that came with the computer which was a Pavilion 8201 so I do not know if this works but I have downloaded it successfully.

Since this is only an .inf download which I didn't notice until after I dl'd it I used quotJamesquot .zip file which is what I needed and it worked good.

thanks... It was difficult to find old drivers....Had amazing problems trying to find the correct modem drivers. Most OmniBook XE2 have ESS Technology modem and sound cards. Simply go to httpwww.esstech.comtechsuppfaqidentify.shtm and let it identify your make and model for you by following onscreen instructions VERY HELPFUL
