I installed this driver on a Compaq Presario 4540. The modem is a Compaq series PSB226 on a Lucent 1641c chipset. You have to unzip the file to a floppy drive and install the driver from the install.exe from the floppy. Almost at the end of the installation it will ask for the file quotcpqmdm9.catquot from the Compaq restore CD but the file is not there. I did a search on the hard drive using the find program from Win 98 and I found the file on quotCWINDOWSOPTIONSCABSquot. It worked just fine.....
