Had to back up in a system restore to get rid of the quotnew hardwarequot annoyance during boot up. I was trying to optimize the older SYK7VIA motherboard after installing XP. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT

took the modem out and put it into my xp and it worked fine...installed back to 98 and new driver..but win98 did not find them...
