I have a compaq 4850 and I know there was a fix for the DVD dies when adding a scanner but I have lost the fix and have been unable to find it again. Would anyone happen to have the patch or know where I can get it.

This driver installed with no problem. I had installed three other rockwell drivers that did not install. My mistake I had the wrong chipset.

this driver will work first time if you remember the simple rulesfirst make sure you have winzip installed then unzip the driver and send it to C windowstwain32colorado next go to control add remove hardware when it finds scanner tell it to search for driver in above path the driver should now load and the scanner should work

dayyyyyyuuummmm i found the driver it works fantastic. I'll never purchase another HP everrrrrrrr they couldn't help with finding a driver for the built in sound card creative sucks also. thanks brad I was about to toss this one year computer out of my condos windows hahaahha
