Pretty good sound card from what I can tell. I got it for free. It's good when schools throw out computers or they get left around and teachers get fed up with them and give them away.The installation was a breeze.WIN98SE Extract driver package to local disk. Stick in sound card. Let Windows detect sound card. Don't give it your install CD when asked. Just hit quotSkip Filequot instead. Installation will fail or be successful.Restart computer. Will autodetect again. Point windows to extracted files. Skip anything it needs from a CD. If Windows tells you it has a more recent version than your 1999 copy you're downloading from this site let it use those. I did and after restarting with the thought that my computer had refused yet another sound card it worked amazingly.Good card anyway. Confusing install though.
