I've tried to install this driver but it needs winndi.dll file and doesn't exist into the driver disk or in the file here included. Resuming DOESN'T WORKS.

I needed a driver for a Compaq Presario 1230 Protable that I was reinstlling for a friend. Could find nothing on the Compaq HP site. This one worked great Thank you soooo much

I couldn't successfully install this driver under Windows ME which I am very sorry I ever installed. The installation would fail when it tried to update a Windows system file because under ME you cannot restart under DOS only as you could in W95 and W98. I was not trying to get it to Write I couldn't even get it to read. I was getting insert cd in drive message and could never get it to recognize the CD. My son did finally get it to read buy using regular Windows drivers I think. He wasn't sure how he got it to work either. I have had problems with this CDrom ever since I have had it. It has never been 'stable' 100 of the time. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate them.Thanks rs
