i get quotprinter cover openquot message but turned the printer off and on and seemed to get past that... however i get garbage that prints at the bottom of the first page every time.. for about 1 inch.. rest of document seems fine.. doesn't seem to matter which word doc i print.. the same result

Worked perfectly for my purposes amp got me out of a whole lot of trouble. Couldn't fault it.I don't normally rate drivers because i hate to see the associated flaming that sometimes but all i can say is this one worked perfectly for me. If it doesn't work for you don't complain to me as i don't want to hear your problems I've enough of my own.

The driver did not unpack at all was not a Win32 application. I had a similar driver on my hard drive with the same name and the same size. It unpacked well and installed also. BUT no recognition of the Sony DCRTRV18E occurred in the Explorer
