Unfortunately this driver does not work on my etower766id. After the installation the device manager showed the HW as Crystal WDM Audio Codec without any problem but under Multimedia Audio no device is selectable. After all the hassel no sound at all. Guess it's faster to buy a cheap sound card then to find another driver. The eMachine Restore CD is a joke and the support a real mess.

It works fine for windows 95 my pc had some truble finding the hardware but now its fine.Now I only have to find IDE drivers ct2290.Thanks

Though the model number listed here is the same as my MB on a Compaq Presario except the AB on the end this did not work for the builtin ACS sound chip on the MB. Figures since the file is so tiny.sorry I don't test failure my printer
