This Conexant56.zip driver does not work on Windows ME. I installed the GVC Model 1156IR12 modemwith a Conexant CXc55511 chip. I burned theConexant56.zip driver unzipped on a CD and thenstarted the computer. Windows ME detected the modem but selected the Conexant MW560C1 driver from the driver CD as the correct driver for this GVC F1156IR12 modem. Both Emachine and Rockwell MW560C1 drivers were on the driver CD. The modem installed using the MW560C1 driver.
