Yes it works with Windows XP on Compaq Presario laptop computer. This is one of the cases where Compaq Presario support pages can not point to this SoftPaq and we have to find it through DriverGuide.Com

Tony thanks so much for taking care of the rest of us while Motorola slacks on the job. My dad has been crazy about this modem issue and I 'had' to be the one to talk him into this 'fantastic' PC which is now his and all the modem problems as well. Maybe one day he may actually get to dial out. Atleast we can hope now that you gave me the driver.

Well there WAS a description posted originally before charydent.com changed their format. I obtained the drivers from a CD that was included with a Dell Dimension system. Anyone who continues to have problems downloading it can contact me via email.

After unzipping the PCITrueColorGraphics.zip file place each extracted zip file in a separate folder. STEP ONE After extracting the first zip file as side213.exe doubleclick it. This will update your IDE configuration which help define your embedded display device settings. STEP TWO The second zip file contains three files i.e. 5971136.exe 5971137.exe and 5971138.exe. Doubleclick them and extract the files into this second folder. Update the driver in Control Panel and point to this second folder. If you encounter problems you can launch setup.exe instead. STEP THREE After these two steps do NOT doubleclick on 597v113.exe but add a path to this file in the autoexec.bat file and save. Reboot.

I am really glad to have you around.This driver is especially hard to find.Creative Labs' website makes reference to this driver however as of May 212000 the link to this driver is broken.Thanks a lot
