Driver Works with LT Winmodems BUT it does not always give the fastest logon speeds. It only logs on at mid mid 30's with occassional low 40's as compared to higher speeds achieved with the modem597.exe. Eratic log on speeds with this driver. Recommend sticking with the modem597.exe driver. One can always tell by loading different drivers and noting the results. I will say the modem597.exe will improve speeds on most ISP's I have encountered with various friends computers. I see no improvements with the modem600.exe over the modem597.exe. Unless you see improvements with this driver stick with the modem597.exe driver instead. Don't worry you can always reinstall another driver if one does not improve performance There are many variables that determine what driver is best for each individual one being quality of your physical phone line eg. noise level determined by lifting phone receiver pressing a number and listening for static or hum phone companies switching equipment and condition of ISP's Modems. If you do log in at a low speed try disconnecting and logging back on note log on speeds each time Do all the above before calling tech supports because they will have you put in extra modem setting for the modem strings which sometimes makes things worse. Be your own techie that is the best way
