I didn't notice that your description indicated it wouldn't work without HP OS and tried it but it does work once you first run riptide.exe.

Okay folks this is one of the better drivers I've seen. The install was flawless and didn't require a reboot in order to use the Lucent 1648T000 those are zero's modem. This particular install was using the PCI version of the available cards using this chipset.I must remark on the speed of the install. He's even better than Giant but usefulless HP support page himselfherself This site ie excellent amp it helped me in solving my problem.it helped me so much and i like itDevice is not defined to OS. The details say this driver is for multiple platforms including Windows 2000NTXP. In actual fact the drivers are only for Windows 9598ME

can you please tell me how to find out what driver i need i have tried nearly all on this site with no luck.the pc keeps asking for a disk called whql as supplied by the manufacturer which i have lost it is a patriot pc with on board sound with an intel i810 chipset.
