TIP for P6SETML motherboards If the DAVICOM chip is not being recognized even with the CMOS setting for it enabled please note that THE DOCUMENTATION IS BACKWARDS as of April 23 2001 in the published jumper settings for this motherboard. JUMPER JP6 located directly below the DAVICOM 9102F chip needs pins 2 and 3 connected to be enabled NOT pins 1 and 2 as published.

I have instaled this driver but have not corrected The sm bus problem on my AMB t2385 e machine. I will uninstall it and try the next one available.

Driver never installed. Gave error quotcould not find install.exequot then bombed. Download was just one executable quotsetup.exequot

I'm reinstalling Windows SE on a Compaq Presario Model 7594. The Intel 810E video drivers work well but the ESS sound drivers don't. As usual Compaq cobbled up the works so that the normal ESS als007 drivers won't work. I tried several drivers from the HPCompaq web site and none worked. This is the only one that worked well right quotout of the box.quot The installation is a little quothinquiequot because that's the way Compaq quotSoft Paq'squot all are. You have to execute the file first to get the quotsetup.exequot file. It might have been better to upload quotsetup.exequot instead of the quotsp8485.exequot file.
