While this driver worked with the Sharp Electronics al1530cs desktop I have here there is a newer driver on the Agere website Agere supports the Lucent Winmodem drivers They are currently up to version 8.3 this one is 5.21. The newer driver enables much more stable connections to dialup services.

After many hours of searching for a 64bit driver for my Netgear WG311v1 I finally came across this driver. It installed well and after I entered my SID name in the Windows Wireless Networking Connection box quotBroadcast SIDquot is off in my router it connected to my network. The internet works greatOne thing to note there were a few other replies that mentioned that people were having trouble getting the Netgear WG311 to work with this driver. I can confirm that it does in fact workAlso on installation you have to physically install the wireless adapter then once Windows Found New Hardware dialog box opens after starting select the options to install your own driver. Make sure you extract the driver files to a folder first.

I had problems with other parts of the system I was setting up and subsiquently drop this equipment off the PC. Was only attempted to be used for about a day. Problem was not this driver.

For any who does not know what is this this is a RAR file a compressed file similar to ZIP files. It ca be decompressed with WinRar among others.I had problems with games Battlefield Vietcong and Tomb Raider AOD the sound speeds up or down in these games. The problem is related to Hardware 3D sound. This driver fixed it for my Windows XP Thanks a lotNote 1 If you have the same problem but this driver does not work for you another way to fix it is the following execute dxdiag.exe go to Sound tab and set Handware Acceleration to None. Sound speed will be correct but is a bit delayed and some glitches are heard sometimes.Note 2 This driver adds a Sound Manager to the system tray. If you don't want it execute msconfig.exe go to Start tab and uncheck soundman.Thanks a lot again
