The driver may be fine for other systems but did not work in my Emachines Etower Model 667ir running Windows 98SE with integrated sound chipset on the motherboard. My guess is it's the wrong codec.

There are so many variations of this type of modem it is hard to determin the correct one this one did not work for me.

after decompressing it gives a crcerror didn't try to install it being feared of eventual system crash

Set up program worked well but the Acer model was not in the Manufacturer list Scanner and Camera Installation Wizard. The driver did not work.
