Good news and bad news thanks for posting the driver here's my experience. I wrote this information in the form of a Readme file which I keep with file.Friday September 19 2003Experience with this graphics driver for the Cirrus Logic cardThe graphics card division apparently was sold by Cirrus in the late 1990's.The subsequent company did not seem to survive. This driver an older NTdriver was obtained from DriverGuide.com.This executable will write a selfextracted set of files to a floppy that itwill request. The floppy can then be carried to the computer that needs it.The usual method of updating drivers from the device manager can be usedspecifying the floppy as the source for the driver. On my system the first attempt to write the floppy fails with a messageabout not having exclusive access but one can choose to continue despitethat. The floppy appears to be written ok.On the system in which I installed this driver W2000SP4 the system wouldnot immediately reboot successfully. The hardware was an IBM Intellistation686525U. The symptom was that a message was posted about a 962 and 162error a configuration change. My guess is that the Cirrus Logic card wasposting the message in the same way that a SCSI card might post a message atboot time. A subsequent message possibly from one of the BIOS systems wasthat no operating system was found. That was very confusing because theSCSI disk had an OS and I had floppy with an OS.After much trial and error the solution was to offpower the computer andonpower it again. Then the boot continued. The disk was NOT trashed andonly one problem remained. For W2000 after the display properties e.g. resolution and number ofcolors were set differently from the defaults in the driver the computerfailed after the 2nd stage of booting with a BSOD blue screen and thesystem would reboot over and over until I again powercycled thecomputer. In my case I think I will look for a different graphics card.
