Never tried this yet but I sure hope it works I searched everywhere for a driver for this cd224e cd rom. I have a Compaq deskpro Pentium II 300mhz but every driver I was told would get my cd to work would just get it to be able to display D in the dos mode but when you typed DIR or anything your get a Error saying CD not ready try again. I just don't get it...

To get the latest 4.51PG Bios. Go to tw.gigabyte.comMotherboardSupportBIOSBIOSList.htmFind under Others GA5AX REV5.2 Download F4 2001823 Run the bios5axf4.exe file and extract the content into your harddisk. Copy the content to your bootable floppy. Bios F4 is For PCB 3.0 4.1 and 5.x. Support AMD K63 CPU. Supports 64G HDD NOTE Most of the 4.51PG Drivers posted in DriverGuide all failed to flash BIOS. A let down and a waste of time. Go direct to your mboard manufacturer site if possible.Flashing bios is simple. You need to have a system formated floppy. Please note Driverguide remove all colon and http typed here thus unable to show the exact command eg format A drive or the full URL path To create a bootable floppy. you can do a command in Win98 Dos Prompt format A s or you can issue a sys a if the floppy is already formatted. Copy your downloaded bios files to your bootable floppy. Insert floppy and reboot your PC. Make sure your BIOS is set to boot off 1st from Floppy. Once booted up from floppy it will run an autoexec.bat which will execute the Awdflash bios process automatically for you. You only have to answer yes or no and that it. Hope this help. You can Press F1 to reset or F10 to exist. Remove your floppy. F1 to RESET your pc.Upon bootup your bios shows F4 instead which initially it was 1.4. Press Del to check your Bios configuration do not reset to default. The new F4 bios for 4.51PG will be able to detect your higher capacity harddisk and auto config it.
