Repeatedly caused computer to crash but I cannot really blame the driver as it must have have been the modem. Problem resolved by using a different modem and driver.

I tried this driver in aPIII 500 with 128mb of RAM and it made the mousecomputer stall every 5 seconds for a short time whenever the NIC was installed odd enough I can't figure out what it is the card remains out of the computer since its not compatible maybe there is a better driver.

I think Compaq are slowly learning lessons about propriety crap.I opened an old Compaq the other day and it didn't even have ANY expansion slots no PCI no ISA no nothing the memory was built onto the MB the power supply did NOT use a standard connector basiclly if anything went wrong you paid Compaq HEAPS or got another PC.Hopefuly with them mergeing with HP they can both get their act together and make decent PC's.
