Successfully installed it on an XP upgrade to a Compaq 1230. Had to fake the XP autowizard into reading the files by searching XPs list of sound card vendors selecting Creative then telling it have disk I had previously unzipped the files and copied them to a floppy. XP read the .inf file cited and presented the menu from which I could select Creative Labs Soundblaster Plug and Play and things went smoothly after that. Thanks very much for posting it.
