Installed the HP 8187 driver for windows XP and the computer still cannot find the scanner. I have a USB connection and when troubleshooting saw that the device manager place a on the scanner. Used the software installation troubleshooting guide and still nothing. Called HP and was placed on hold for 23 minutes before i hung up. Overall this is junk. I spent 300.00 when they first came out and then upgraded to a new computer and wham nothing works right. I say go bacy to WINDOWS 3.1 and get everything to work right the first time.

Thanks you saved my reputationa friend of mine could not get his computer to recognise his older DCS cd rom drive in dos mode..I told him it was a piece of cake...WRONG. Needed this driver...thanks a million times over

This driver performed better than I expected as it wasn't written for my motherboard. ms6540g 661fm series. worth a try on others incorporating sis 900963 and Realtek 8201L.

did not work for my case i am look for twain driver and it would not install but said they were there

Driver worked fine and program runs ok for what I use it for I use only the video input side of the card. I cant get the quotAirquot side to tune in But I use a cable tv feed split several times so it could be a wiring fault as appose to a software fault. Its no problem for me and the way I use the card but would like to know if Im not the only one. Turbo.
