Display adapter SiS530 Driver loaded at Windowtemp folder and I had to point driver update at this folder. It loaded without a problem and I now have a full colour display

Works very well installed on a SiS 5305595 chipset aok. One word of advice Uninstall the old drivers first using the SiS uninstall utility included in this disk. If your using standard windows ide drivers don't worry about it.

Works for the 1260 Compaq Presario. Compaq doesn't offer drivers for this laptop in their site but this one works great.Install is not automatic you will have to manually browse to the folder where the drivers are uninstalled when you run the file it uncompresses several files to the folder where you have it be carefull not to run it on the desktop or you'll get files all over

PCChips should make fastfoods instead of this pathetic motherboards which requires constant driver updates that you'll never get this year in its site.Yep it worked. Thanks charydent.
